Kevin Pietersen: 'I've received county offers'

Kevin Pietersen says that "a few" county cricket clubs have made offers to sign him as he considers opening the door for a potential England return.

Kevin Pietersen has said that he has received "a few" offers from English county cricket clubs.

Leicestershire are believed to be one of the counties who have spoken to axed England batsman Pietersen about joining their squad.

"I believe an offer was made and so have a few others this week. Let's wait and see what my decision is," Pietersen told BreatheSport.

"Lots to think about but desperate to put [England test and ODI shirt numbers] #626 and #185 back on my chest."

Incoming ECB chairman Colin Graves last week said that Pietersen must play county cricket to be considered for a return to the England squad.
