Bangladesh set India 273 to win first ODI in Mirpur

Bangladesh post 272 in first ODI

Bangladesh have set India a victory target of 273 to win the first one-day international in Mirpur.

Bangladesh's opener and star man Tamim Iqbal didn't produce the goods early on, failing to score on his first 11 balls before he lost his wicket to Umesh Yadav.

Mominul Haque (6) joined him in the pavilion soon after and it looked like Bangladesh could struggle to post a challenging total.

However, the middle order stepped up, with solid scores from Mushfiqur Rahim (59), Shakib Al Hasan (52) and Mahmudullah (41) to push the Tigers past 200.

The tail also finished strongly as Bangladesh ended their 50 overs on 272-9.

Yadav was the pick of the Indian bowlers, finishing with three wickets for 48 runs off nine overs.
