England 220 ahead at lunch

England are bowled out for 257, but reduce the West Indies to 37-3 by lunch on day two of the third Test in Barbados.

England have gone into lunch 220 runs ahead after reducing the West Indies to 37-3 in the morning session on day two of the third Test in Barbados.

The tourists added just 17 runs to their overnight total as Jerome Taylor claimed the remaining three wickets for just three runs, restricting England to 257.

The home side's opening partnership lasted just two balls as James Anderson quickly claimed the wicket of Kraigg Brathwaite, who edged the ball to Chris Jordan.

Stuart Broad could have dismissed Darren Bravo in the next over, but Alastair Cook dropped the ball at slip to give the number three a lifeline.

Shai Hope's stay in the middle was short-lived as Cook made amends for his earlier drop, catching the debutant off an Anderson delivery to reduce the West Indies to 5-2.

Marlon Samuels followed soon after as the hosts slipped to 9-3, but Bravo and Shivnarine Chanderpaul started to steady the ship before the end of the session, reaching nine and five respectively by lunch.
