A century from Ian Bell helps England on their way to defeating the West Indies by 114 runs at the Rose Bowl.

Ian Bell produced a knock of 126 to help England on their way to wrapping up a 114-run victory over the West Indies at the Rose Bowl earlier today.

Bell, who opened the batting, was helped out by Jonathan Trott (42) and Craig Kieswetter (38 not out) as the home side posted a total of 288-6 from their permitted 50 overs.

In reply, Dwayne Smith got the Windies off to a positive start with a succession of boundaries. However, he was dismissed for 56 runs when he was caught by Kieswetter off the bowling of Tim Bresnan.

The wicket of Smith was the first of four for Bresnan, who ended the match with figures of 4-34.

The Windies were eventually bowled out for a total of 172 runs.
