Bowler Graeme Swann has admitted that it was "nice" to pick up a five-wicket haul in England's 228-run victory over Essex.
England were playing in their final warm-up game before the first Ashes Test match with Australia next week, and after securing figures of 5-66, Swann has revealed that he was pleased to secure some match practice ahead of the series.
The 34-year-old told Sky Sports News: "I obviously didn't play much during the Champions Trophy, and after being whacked on the arm and missing out on the first innings, I was very keen to get 20 overs under my belt.
"Thankfully, I managed to do that today, and to pick up a few wickets was nice."
Swann missed the majority of England's matches in the Champions Trophy with back and calf problems.
