Strauss still has "desire" to continue

England captain Andrew Strauss has said that he still has the "desire" to continue as England captain, despite his side's first home Test series defeat for four years.

England lost the South Africa series 2-0 because of today's 51-run defeat and Strauss has revealed that he hopes to map out his future with coach Andy Flower.

"It has been a tiring week," The Telegraph quotes Strauss as saying. "However I have great faith in the team and in the set up and I still have a lot of desire in there so we will see how things go.

"I am certainly keen to get away for a few days and then we all need to sit down, myself and Andy in particular, and try and map out a way forward.

"We have got to have a hard look at what went wrong, why it went wrong and how we can improve."

England now face South Africa in a one-day international series and a Twenty20 series.
