Kevin Pietersen to miss Surrey encounter

Kevin Pietersen will play no part in Surrey's County Championship encounter against Middlesex.

Following his omission from the England Test squad, it had been reported that 32-year-old would take to the pitch for Surrey tomorrow.

However, a squad list released by the county does not include the England batsman.

It is believed that Pietersen will continue to hold talks with the ECB instead as the two parties look to find a resolution over the South African-born player's international future.
