Geoff Miller: 'Kevin Pietersen always welcome in the England side'

National selector Geoff Miller has revealed that Kevin Pietersen is always welcome within the England side.

Despite retiring from limited-overs cricket in May, Pietersen has recently hinted that he could return for England should his schedule change.

Miller told BBC Radio 5 Live: "Kevin is always welcome in the England side.

"He is a quality, talented international cricketer and you want your best players representing you.

"The discussions are not to do with me and Kevin Pietersen, my job is to select the side from people available. Those discussions are between the ECB and the players [and] are private."

England coach Andy Flower has recently admitted that he doesn't expect Pietersen to appear in this year's Twenty20 World Cup.
