India wrap up a T20 series victory over England with a 49-run victory at Edgbaston on Saturday.

India have recorded a second successive T20 victory over England, a 49-run win at Edgbaston wrapping up a series win with one game still remaining.

After a weakened side cruised to a 50-run success on Thursday, it was more of the same two days later as England again under-performed with the bat.

Despite winning the toss, England witnessed India get off to a fast start, the tourists reaching 49-0 off just 4.4 overs before Richard Gleeson introduced himself on the international scene.

From his next four deliveries, the 34-year-old removed Rohit Sharma (31), Virat Kohli (1) and Rishabh Pant (26), the debutant reducing India to 61-3.

The veteran missed out on his hat-trick and Chris Jordan also earned the chance of a hat-trick ball shortly after the midway point having dismissed Suryakumar Yadav (15) and Hardik Pandya (12).

On 89-5, India were at risk of seeing their innings wilt away, but a fine 46 runs from 29 balls from Ravindra Jadeja helped India reach 170-8 off their 20 overs.

Gleeson eventually ended with figures of 3-15, but Jordan was the pick of the England bowlers having posted 4-27 from his four overs.

A target of 171 was well within England's capabilities, but a first-ball duck for Jason Roy led to the home side being on the rack from the start.

Captain Jos Buttler (4) soon followed as Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up his second wicket, before Jasprit Bumrah produced the perfect delivery which clipped Liam Livingstone's off-stump for 15.

As Harry Brook followed for just eight, Dawid Malan kept England ticking over, but his dismissal for 19 left his side on 55-5 off 9.1 overs.

Moeen Ali led the counter-attack - as he did on Thursday - but the all-rounder's knock of 35 runs from 21 balls only delayed the inevitable.

After contributing to the run-out of Jordan for just one, David Willey let rip to at least make England's total moderately respectable with 33 runs coming from 22 deliveries.

Nevertheless, England were all out for 121 with three overs still remaining, Kumar the pick of the bowlers with 3-15.
