Alex Hales has targeted a successful trip to the West Indies after being left unsold at the Indian Premier League auction.
The Twenty20 opener, who was one of 10 England players who failed to attract the interest of an Indian franchise, believes that he has a good opportunity to find his best form in the limited-over series against the West Indies.
"It's not the end of the world," Hales, who scored just 44 runs in the three-match T20 series in Australia, told reporters.
"I have a good opportunity coming up in the Caribbean with the England one-day side.
"I hope I'll get the chance to open the batting and show what I can do over 50 overs - and there's a big Twenty20 World Cup coming up."
Hales is currently second in the ICC T20 rankings for batsmen.
