Steven Finn believes that England captain Andrew Strauss is "not out of nick" despite his recent run of low scores.

Steven Finn has claimed that Andrew Strauss is the correct man to carry on captaining England despite his struggles with the bat.

However, fast bowler Finn believes that Strauss's experience as a leader means that it is vital he carries on as captain.

The Middlesex seamer said: "He is England captain for a reason. He deals with these situations very well.

"It won't have bothered him too much that he didn't get any runs in that first match.

"He is not out of nick."

Former England skipper Michael Vaughan has also backed Strauss to continue in his current role.
