England's Nick Compton misses training

Batsman Nick Compton sat out an England training session earlier today ahead of the third Test against South Africa, which gets underway on Thursday morning.

The 32-year-old was sidelined by a stomach illness that has troubled a number of ECB members, media and supporters throughout England's ongoing tour.

However, the right-hander is expected to recover in time to take his place in the side against the Proteas.

Compton has scored 194 runs so far in the series, which the visitors lead 1-0 after two Tests.
