England trio awarded central contracts

England selectors have decided to hand Tim Bresnan, Eoin Morgan and Chris Tremlett central contracts for the first time.

The trio's new deals will begin on Saturday, October 1 and will run through until the end of September 2012.

"I am delighted that Tim Bresnan, Eoin Morgan and Chris Tremlett have all been awarded 12-month central contracts for the first time," national selector Geoff Miller told the ECB's official website.

"Central contracts are designed to reward players who perform well consistently for England and all three have made significant contributions to the team’s recent success in retaining the Ashes in Australia and beating Sri Lanka and India at home."

Miller also confirmed that Durham's Paul Collingwood will not have his current contract renewed.

England's centrally contracted players 2011/12: James Anderson, Ian Bell, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Alastair Cook, Steven Finn, Eoin Morgan, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior, Andrew Strauss, Graeme Swann, Chris Tremlett and Jonathan Trott.
