India sit on 250-3 at tea as England try to fight back following a tough morning session in Ahmedabad.

England have started to find their feet on the opening day of the first Test against India after taking two wickets in quick succession just before tea.

Graeme Swann has launched the turnaround for the visitors by dismissing Gautam Gambhir on 45 and then swiftly bowling out Virender Sehwag and Sachin Tendulkar, who could only muster 13 runs before he was caught by Samit Patel.

Despite England's fightback, India took full control in the morning session courtesy of a century by Sehwag, who scored his first three-figure score in nearly two years.

Cheteshwar Pujara and Virat Kohli remain at the crease for the hosts as they sit on 250-3.
