Steven Davies called in as England cover for Matt Prior

England have drafted in Surrey wicketkeeper Steven Davies as cover for Matt Prior, who is struggling with an eye infection.

The number one wicketkeeper for the national side has not been completely ruled out as yet but will have to bow out of the third Test against the West Indies if not passed fit tomorrow morning.

Davies is currently competing in a County Championship match with Surrey against Sussex at Horsham today and will have to leave for the England camp at the close of play.

Davies has played in eight one-day internationals and five Twenty20 matches for England in his career.
