Carberry aiming to repay Hampshire fans

England batsman Michael Carberry has said that he is looking forward to playing on his home county ground in the fifth and final one-day international against Australia.

The two teams meet at the Rose Bowl on Monday with the ODI series tied at 1-1.

Carberry struck 63 runs in Saturday's victory in Cardiff and wants to repay the Hampshire locals for their support with another good knock against the Aussies.

"There have been so many people at Hampshire who have supported my career, and have always shouted my name in terms of playing for England," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"If I can get runs in front of my home crowd, and I hope we can win, it will be a nice way to pay them back."

The 32-year-old made just 15 runs in his first three innings on the international scene.
