Tim Bresnan is hopeful that he can reclaim his place in the England setup this summer.
The bowler has not represented his country since a World Twenty20 defeat at the hands of the Netherlands 13 months ago.
However, his recent form for Yorkshire has earned the 30-year-old a recall to the squad that will take on Ireland in a one-day international next week.
Providing that he can impress in Dublin, Bresnan has expressed his eagerness for further involvement over the coming months.
"Hopefully, if I take some wickets and score some runs then I can be kept in mind for the national side during the summer," he told the Yorkshire Evening Post.
"I am happy to be in the squad, and it's reward for the work I've put in this season so far."
In the summer, England will play host to both New Zealand and Australia.
