Ian Bell doubtful for ODI against West Indies with chin injury

Bell suffers chin injury

England batsman Ian Bell has thrown his participation in Saturday's one-day international against the West Indies into doubt after suffering a chin injury.

The 30-year-old was struck in the chin by a ball during a practice session today, which required stitches after he was taken to the hospital.

Bell, who was expected to be named the opening batsman for this weekend's ODI, could be forced to sit out of the contest.

The extent of the injury is yet to be clarified.
