Trevor Bayliss: 'England must develop winning habit'

England coach Trevor Bayliss insists that the team are working on developing a winning habit after beating Pakistan 3-1 in their ODI series.

England coach Trevor Bayliss has insisted that his team will be trying to develop a winning habit after defeating Pakistan 3-1 in their one-day international series.

Jos Buttler hit an unbeaten 116 in the 84-run victory in the final match to seal the win, hitting the fastest ODI century by an English batsman in the process.

Bayliss told Sky Sports News: "Any win is a good win, and to win away from home, here in the UAE against Pakistan, is one hell of an effort. I think it will give the boys a lot of confidence going forward. Winning is a habit and we want to develop it.

"I'm not sure if I've got the words for what I saw tonight from Jos Buttler - it wasn't just slogging, some of the shots were not in the coaching manual but he hit everything out of the middle.

"I thought our bowling was superb in the first three games, but tonight we were a bit short, we tried to do too much. There are some very talented boys in the dressing room and it's exciting times for English cricket."

England begin a tour of South Africa next month.
