England bowler James Anderson has admitted that he has felt under scrutiny by the ICC ever since he was put under disciplinary proceedings following an incident with Ravindra Jadeja last year.
The Lancashire-born cricketer, who was alleged to have shoved the Indian all-rounder, was eventually cleared of any wrongdoing.
However, Anderson believes that the process "affected" his performances in the World Cup in Australia and New Zealand, where England failed to progress into the knockout rounds.
"I've definitely been different since that incident, and it probably affected me during the World Cup," Anderson told ESPNcricinfo.
"It didn't affect me during that India series because there was still that real determination to win. I was aggressive without being over the top, but in the World Cup, there was a constant sense that the ICC were watching."
Anderson and his teammates will begin a Test series against the West Indies today.
