England bowler believes that taking the early wicket of MS Dhoni would help his side's chances of securing victory in India.

Jade Dernbach believes that England must find a way of bowling out Indian captain Mahendra Dhoni early in an innings if they are to have any chance of winning the ongoing one-day series between the two sides.

Dhoni was instrumental during India's 126-run victory over touring England on Friday evening, hitting 87 runs of just 70 deliveries to help side move into a 1-0 series lead.

"We need to find a way of being better than him [Dhoni]," said 25-year-old bowler Dernbach. "He's a fantastic player.

"As a bowling unit, we just need to find a way of getting him out and restricting him.

"With his ability to hit boundaries, our margins for error are quite small. As you saw the other night, a couple of yorkers which were missed by a couple of inches found their way to the boundary for six."

The two nations meet again for the second match of the series in Delhi tomorrow.
