Australia on top at lunch on day one of second Ashes Test

Australia on top at lunch

Australia have reached 104-1 at lunch on the opening day of the second Ashes Test at Lord's.

The tourists have looked confident with the bat so far, while England's bowlers have struggled for inspiration with the ball.

Having won the toss, Chris Rogers and David Warner got Australia off to a positive start before Warner was dismissed for 38 in the 15th over.

The opener, who hit seven fours during his time at the crease, was caught by James Anderson off the bowling of Moeen Ali.

However, Rogers (43*) and Steve Smith (16*) remained firm to guide the Australians past the 100-run mark at the end of the morning session.
