Andy Flower admits that the England XI has been decided, which means that Nick Compton is likely to miss out.

England coach Andy Flower has admitted that the management team know the 11 players who will make up the team for the first Ashes Test match.

With Compton missing from England's warm-up match against Essex, it would appear that the Somerset opener will not be included at Trent Bridge.

"We were pretty clear before this game on our team for Trent Bridge," Sky Sports News quotes Flower as saying. "We're clear what our squad will be and what our XI will be.

"I'm not going to talk about individuals but we're pretty clear about our XI."

The first of the five Tests gets underway on Wednesday.
