England name unchanged side for fourth Ashes Test

England unchanged for fourth Test

England captain Alastair Cook has confirmed that the team are unchanged for the fourth Ashes Test against Australia in Durham.

Graham Onions was in contention for the Test following his inclusion in the squad, but England have opted to keep with the same side that retained the Ashes in the washed-out third Test.

There were suggestions that bowler James Anderson would be rested for this encounter, but England have kept faith with their team in a bid to win the series.

For Australia, Ashes debutant Jackson Bird has come into the side in place of Mitchell Starc.

England: Cook, Root, Trott, Pietersen, Bell, Bairstow, Prior, Bresnan, Broad, Swann, Anderson

Australia: Rogers, Warner, Khawaja, Clarke, Smith, Watson, Haddin, Siddle, Harris, Bird, Lyon
