Shane Warne "excited" by coaching role

Shane Warne says that he is looking forward to working with the Australian spin bowlers at the World Twenty20.

Shane Warne has said that he is "excited" to be part of Australia's coaching staff for their World Twenty20 campaign in Bangladesh in March.

The 44-year-old, who will "support head coach Darren Lehmann as a consultant and will provide "specialist coaching to the spin bowlers", will join the squad in South Africa where the Aussies will take part in three T20 matches before heading to the Asian country.

"I'm excited to be working with Australia's spinners in South Africa," Cricket Australia's official website quotes him as saying.

"I'm looking forward to helping them with some intense bowling preparation ahead of the World Twenty 20, where we'll specifically work on tactics and mindset."

Warne is regarded as one of the greatest spin bowlers of all time.
