Josh Hazlewood: 'India tactics backfired'

Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood believes that India's attempts to intimidate his side in the second Test "backfired".

Australia fast bowler Josh Hazlewood has claimed that India's tactics in the second Test of their four-match series "backfired".

The tourists did their best to goad Mitchell Johnson with verbal taunts during the Brisbane Test, but Australia went on to win by four wickets.

Hazlewood believes that India's failure to intimidate the Aussies has backfired on them and given the hosts the mental edge going into the crucial Boxing Day Test.

"I guess it backfired on them a little bit with them trying to get stuck into us," Hazlewood is quoted as saying by BBC Sport.

Australia currently lead the series 2-0 and would move into an unassailable lead with another victory in the third Test.
