Aaron Finch ruled out for three months following hamstring surgery

Australia batsman Aaron Finch is ruled out for the next three months after undergoing surgery on his left hamstring.

Australia batsman Aaron Finch will miss the next three months of action after undergoing surgery on a hamstring problem.

The 28-year-old suffered the injury while playing for Mumbai Indians against the Rajasthan Royals in the Indian Premier League.

Last week, the batsman confirmed that he will miss the rest of the IPL season, but now it has been revealed that he will be out for much longer.

BUPA Support Team physiotherapist Alex Kountouris told Cricket Australia: "Aaron will now commence his rehabilitation and we expect that rehabilitation to take up to 12 weeks."

Finch was expected to join the Yorkshire squad at the end of May.
