Chris Rogers has net session in bid to prove fitness ahead of third Ashes Test

Rogers steps up recovery with net session

Australia batsman Chris Rogers took a step closer to proving his fitness ahead of the third Ashes Test with a net session yesterday.

The left-handed opener suffered dizzy spells at Lord's last week in his second innings, two days after being hit on the helmet with a bouncer.

However, he has now had a net session against spinner Nathan Lyon, although Cricket Australia warned that he is "in some doubt" for the third Test at Edgbaston.

The 37-year-old is set to retire from international cricket after this series.
