Michael Clarke: 'We won't field a weakened team, this isn't a charity tour'

Australia captain Michael Clarke says that the selectors will not rest players for the final Ashes Test as this is not a "charity tour".

Australia captain Michael Clarke has insisted that his team will be strong for the final Ashes Test against England, despite already losing the contest.

There had been suggestions that players could be rested due to the Aussies currently being 3-0 down in the series, but Clarke has hit back by claiming that it is not a "charity tour".

"We're trying, or the selectors, I guess, are trying to be as consistent as they can but we're also here to win the game," BBC Sport quotes Clarke as saying.

"This is not a charity tour. It's not about giving blokes a go and hoping for the best."

The final Test begins at The Oval tomorrow.
