Amir Khan happy with Olympic ambassador role

Amir Khan has said that he is proud to be an ambassador for the London Olympic Games.

The 25-year-old, who won silver in Athens eight years ago, said that he will enjoy every minute of the sporting extravaganza.

"I want to make the most of it," said Khan. "I'm going to enjoy every minute of it.

"I'm going to try to attend every event because when I was in the Olympics in 2004 I never had the chance to go to any other sport apart from boxing."

Khan lost his last fight to Danny Garcia in Las Vegas.
