Joshua plans to snub pro offers

Olympic super-heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua has said that he is keen to avoid becoming a professional boxer during the next four years in order to defend his title in Rio de Janeiro.

The 22-year-old became Team GB's final gold medal winner of London 2012 when he beat Italy's Roberto Cammarelle yesterday.

He said: "This has never been about money. I will stay amateur for as long as possible. I quite like the sound of Rio 2016."

Joshua overcame Erislandy Savon, Zhang Zhilei and Ivan Dychko on his way to reaching Sunday's final.
