Joe Ham vows to beat Qais Ashfaq

Scotland boxer Joe Ham has vowed to overcome England's Qais Ashfaq in the quarter-finals of the Commonwealth Games.

Ham booked his spot in the last eight after overcoming Nadir Nadir on Monday evening, before Ashfaq followed suit by beating Neo Thamahane.

The two fighters have clashed twice before, with each recording one win.

"I have fought the English guy twice, I have beaten him and he has beaten me. We know each other, but he is not beating me in front of this crowd," Ham told Sports Mole.

The bout will take place on Wednesday.
