Reece McFadden: 'Andrew Selby my toughest opponent'

McFadden: 'Selby my toughest opponent'

Scotland boxer Reece McFadden has claimed that Andrew Selby is "the hardest boy" he has ever fought in his amateur career.

The home favourite caused a big upset in his first fight on Friday, beating the favourite Selby to book a spot against Team England's Charlie Edwards on Sunday.

"I have fought some tough boys [in my career], but that is the hardest boy I have ever fought in my life," McFadden told reporters immediately after the fight.

"I was nervous, but then I thought he has two arms and two legs just like me and I knew that I could beat him."

McFadden vs. Edwards will take place on July 27.
