Kal Yafai blasts past Yaqub Kareem

Kal Yafai has won the Commonwealth super-flyweight title after stopping Yaqub Kareem inside three rounds.

The Brit was expected to face the toughest test of his professional career, but he was far too strong for a limited opponent who looked like he wanted nothing to do with the power from the Birmingham fighter.

The 24-year-old stormed through the opening two rounds before he began the third with a sickening body shot that left Kareem on the canvas and showing no willingness to get back to his feet.

The knockout was Yafai's eighth of an 11-fight career.
