Carl Froch defeats Yusaf Mack in three

Carl Froch has successfully defended his IBF super middleweight title at the first time of asking against Yusaf Mack, taking just three rounds to do it.

Froch started as he meant to go on, knocking his American opponent down as early as the first round in front of a pulsating Nottingham home crowd.

It was heading for a second knockdown in as many rounds but fortunately for Mack the bell came to his rescue.

Each punch of Froch's was connecting hard, with the Briton able to take his time to put together combinations.

In the third round the American was down again after two huge shots to the body and he was counted out for a comfortable Froch win.
