Tommy Coyle beats Michael Ansah on points

British lightweight Tommy Coyle has strengthened his claim for a significant fight in the summer with a points win over Michael Ansah.

Coyle had been hoping to feature against one of Britain's top lightweight stars, but he was given a good workout by his Ghanaian opponent.

The Yorkshire fighter won by a 79-73 scoreline, but while he dominated the contest, he found himself being caught on several occasions.

In beating Ansah, Coyle records his 19th win from 21 professional fights.
