Andre Ward "dying" to face Carl Froch in ring for rematch

Promoter Eddie Hearn has insisted that Andre Ward is "dying" to have a rematch with IBF super-middleweight champion Carl Froch.

Hearn believes that the Nottingham boxer will have his pick of opponents if he manages to defeat Mikkel Kessler in the ring this Saturday in London.

"Everyone will want to fight Froch because there's a huge amount of money," Hearn told BBC Radio Nottingham. "Of course Andre Ward is dying for a rematch. Froch is a true superstar."

Froch has only been beaten by Ward and Kessler in his professional career.
