Callum Smith keen to face Rocky Fielding for British super-middleweight title

Callum Smith admits that he is keen to secure a British super-middleweight title fight with Rocky Fielding.

Callum Smith has revealed that a British super-middleweight title fight with Rocky Fielding would be one of his priorities should they both win on Friday night.

The Liverpudlian duo compete in the biggest fights of their careers against Christopher Rebrasse and Brian Vera as they both look to move closer to a world title fight, but Smith has admitted that he would jump at the chance to compete for the domestic belt.

The 25-year-old told Sky Sports News: "That is a big fight in Liverpool. We're both undefeated and there's a lot of demand for that fight. If we both come through Friday, then we'll sit down and talk.

"I'd love to win the British title. I've seen my three brothers fight for it and it's a great belt to win. If that fight comes, I'd jump at it. It's a fight I'm 100% confident I'd win."

Smith has recorded 16 successive wins in the professional ranks, while Fielding is unbeaten in 20 outings.
