Scott Quigg undergoes surgery on broken jaw

Promoter Eddie Hearn confirms that Scott Quigg underwent surgery on Sunday morning to rectify a broken jaw suffered in his defeat to Carl Frampton.

Scott Quigg has been forced to undergo surgery on a broken jaw following Saturday evening's super-bantamweight loss to Carl Frampton.

The 27-year-old picked up the injury during round four of his eventual split-decision defeat in Manchester.

Quigg's promoter Eddie Hearn took to Twitter on Sunday to say: "Thoughts with @scottquigg currently undergoing surgery on broken jaw... you will be back stronger!"

It was Quigg's first loss in 34 professional fights, while opponent Frampton now remains undefeated in 22 bouts.
