Sauerland: 'Price could face Wach'

Former world title challenger Mariusz Wach is one of several potential opponents for British heavyweight David Price in June.

After recording four successive wins on foreign soil, Price is ready to return to Liverpool for a contest that would boost his world ranking position should he emerge with a victory.

Sauerland Promotions has previously revealed that they made an offer to Dereck Chisora, but after a deal wasn't agreed, it appears that Polish fighter Wach is the frontrunner to face the former Olympic bronze medallist on June 6.

"We are looking at potential opponents and can confirm that Mariusz Wach is one of them," Sauerland Promotions told World Boxing News.

"There are a few potential other names, but right now, we can't say. All we can say is that Wach is one of them."

In November 2012, Wach went the distance with Wladimir Klitschko, but after a suspension for testing positive for a banned substance, he has recorded three successive wins since October.
