Roach: 'I want Mayweather to step up and fight Pacquiao'

Freddie Roach has revealed that he still wants to see Floyd Mayweather take on Manny Pacquiao.

A fight between the pair has long been mooted, but interest has cooled after recent defeats for Pacquiao.

Roach, who trains the Filipino fighter, believes that the 'Pac-man' still has what it takes to beat the unbeaten American.

"I still want the biggest fight in the world," Roach told On the ropes radio. "I want Mayweather to step up and fight Manny Pacquiao. He said Pacquiao is washed up. Get in the ring and we will see."

Mayweather's next fight will be against Mexican world title holder Saul Alvarez in September, while Pacquiao will face Brandon Rios in November.
