Manny Pacquiao to make Floyd Mayweather decision soon

Manny Pacquiao is preparing to make a decision on the proposed May 5 showdown between himself and Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the next 48 hours.

The WBO Welterweight Champion and promoter Bob Arum are understood to be assessing whether it will be possible to postpone deals with several other boxers in order to allow a fight to occur in four months' time, trainer Freddie Roach told TMZ.

Meanwhile, Roach has hit back at the American's recent tweet, in which he referred to the Filipino star as a "punk".

"He should look in the mirror," he said. "He's been ducking us for two years."

Should the Pacquiao camp agree to a fight, both sides would still have to come to terms on a financial deal.
