Manny Pacquiao: 'Raymundo Beltran will beat Ricky Burns'

Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao believes that Raymundo Beltran will win the WBO lightweight title from Ricky Burns next month.

Beltran and Pacquiao have often sparred with each other ahead of several of their respective bouts, and the eight-division world champion has backed the Mexican to capture the lightweight belt in Glasgow on September 7.

The 34-year-old told reporters: "I believe Beltran will make it.

"He is a nice guy, a good boxer and good luck to him, hopefully he can make it."

Burns has won 36 of his 38 professional bouts, while Beltran has emerged the victor on 28 occasions in 34 encounters.
