Victor Ortiz calls out Amir Khan on Twitter

Victor Ortiz has taken to Twitter in a bid to set up a potential bout with Amir Khan.

The American welterweight is searching for a new opponent after Andre Berto was forced to withdraw from their February 11 clash with a ruptured bicep.

Posting under the moniker @VICIOUSortiz, the 25-year-old said: "Since my fight didn't work out with Berto, I want @AmirKingKhan @caneloalvarez @antoniomargarito let's do this."

Ortiz has not fought since his controversial fourth-round knockout against Floyd Mayweather Jnr in September.

Khan is reportedly interested in stepping up from light-welterweight to face the dangerous southpaw.
