Floyd Mayweather Jnr takes swipe at Manny Pacquiao

Floyd Mayweather Jnr takes a swipe at Manny Pacquiao after his win against Victor Ortiz in Las Vegas.

Floyd Mayweather Jnr has taken a swipe at Manny Pacquiao after his latest title defence.

The 34-year-old knocked out Victor Ortiz in a controversial fight in Las Vegas which saw the American argue with 80-year-old broadcaster Larry Merchant after the bout.

"Pacquiao is famous because he is attached to my name," Mayweather told boxingscene.com. "When they say Pacquiao, they say 'that's the guy they are trying to get to fight Floyd Mayweather'. When they say Floyd Mayweather, they say 'the greatest ever'.

"How can Pacquiao offer me anything? I do the offering. With or without Pacquiao, any time Floyd Mayweather goes out there he is going to make $70m. I don't need him."

Mayweather's latest win continued his undefeated record in 42 fights, with 26 of those by knockout.
