Paulie Malignaggi: 'Adrien Broner's power is overrated'

WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi insists that he will stop Adrien Broner in their world title clash on Saturday evening.

WBA welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi has described Adrien Broner's power as "overrated" ahead of their world title clash on Saturday night.

Broner is undefeated in 26 bouts, but Malignaggi, who has won 32 out of 36 fights, believes that he will stop the 23-year-old inside the distance.

The 32-year-old told reporters: "I'm going to make him quit on his stool. We're ready. Come get it. The harder he tries, the more ass whuppin' he's going to get.

"He better try real hard to get me out of there early and he better succeed because he's going to end up in deep water.

"His power is overrated. I could have knocked out 20 garbagemen or laundromat workers too, but I chose to fight real opponents in my career."

Broner is moving up two weight divisions to face Malignaggi, and he has predicted an "explosive" victory over his opponent.
