Maidana: 'I'll end Mayweather's streak'

Marcos Maidana has vowed to end Floyd Mayweather Jnr's unbeaten streak.

Mayweather, who squares off with the 30-year-old on May 3, is 45-0 in the ring, but Maidana has claimed that the unbeaten 'Money' will have his run brought to a halt when the pair clash later this year.

BoxingScene.com quotes Maidana as saying: "I just handed a great defensive fighter his first loss, and I plan to do the same to Mayweather. I don't care if he's the best and undefeated. I will bring some Latino power to him on May 3.

"I am extremely happy to be facing Mayweather because it will give me the opportunity to show the world that I am the best welterweight in the division."

Amir Khan was reported to be facing Mayweather prior to the signing of Maidana.
