Lennox Lewis believes that David Price has upped his game since the pair started working together in preparation for the Liverpudlian's rematch with Tony Thompson.

Former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis believes that David Price has improved while he has been working with him.

Price has been working with Lewis as he prepares for his rematch against Tony Thompson, after suffering a shock defeat in the first fight.

Lewis insists that the Liverpudlian is right to seek advice from experienced former pros like himself, and is backing Price to win a world title in the future.

"David is not that far from a world title fight, but you have to develop," World Boxing News quotes Lewis as saying.

"He has made a wise move looking for more stuff to learn and the opportunity is with me.

"As a past heavyweight champion I know a lot of things he needs to do and working with me has upped his game a lot more."

The rematch takes place at the Echo Arena on July 6.
