Wladimir Klitschko calls off Odlanier Solis bout

Heavyweight boxer Wladimir Klitschko has pulled out of his scheduled fight with Cuban fighter Odlanier Solis.

The Ukrainian was due to go up against the Olympic gold medallist in defence of his voluntary title on April 6.

"The issue is off the table," Huete quotes Solis's promoter Ahmet Oner as saying. "We have negotiated, where we even really agreed on all points, but then the Klitschko side decided against it at the last moment."

The WBA champion was granted the interim fight before his bout with Russia's Alexander Povetkin on July 31.
