Wladimir Klitschko, Tyson Fury purse bid due on Monday

A purse bid to decide on the venue for the world heavyweight title clash between Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury will take place in Panama on Monday.

Wladimir Klitschko and Tyson Fury will find out the venue of their world heavyweight title clash on Monday when a purse bid takes place in Panama.

With the two camps still failing to agree terms, a decision will be made at the start of next week when bids can be made to stage the highly-anticipated showdown.

Klitschko's promoters are favourites to secure the fight, which would likely see it take place in Germany, but Matchroom Sport promoter Eddie Hearn has also hinted that he may make an offer to hold the fight in England.

It has also been suggested that rights to the fight could be secured by a Russian billionaire, with Fury himself suggesting that the bout could be staged in Moscow.

Fury became mandatory challenger to Klitschko's WBO belt by beating Dereck Chisora last November, while the WBA version is also expected to be on the line.
